The Marion Popcorn Festival
Popcorn 5K run,
Certified event, will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. Cost is $17.00 through the early
registration deadline of Wednesday September 3th
and $20.00 after deadline and on race day CASH ONLY ON RACE DAY. First 100 pre-registered

MARION, OH – The Marion Midget
Football Popcorn Bowl has been set for Sunday, September 7th,
at Lincoln Park.
The event will begin at 11:00 p.m. Midget
football players will play against each other in four games.
The teams’ cheerleaders will entertain the
audience with a production number.

The annual Marion Popcorn Festival Golf Outing will
be held on Sunday,August 17, at 8:00 a.m. at King’s Mill Golf Course.
The cost of $55.00 per person or $220.00 per foursome will include
golf, cart and steak dinner. A cash

Poppin Pooch Pageant
The Marion Popcorn Festival’s Poppin’ Pooch Pageant,
slated for this Saturday, has been
postponed until sometime in the fall.
Poppin’ Pooch Chairman Robb Koons indicated that although there had
been several entries, the numbers just weren’t there.
In talking with a number of people, he said it was determined that
after the vacation season would be better for many who were interested.
|Popcorn Senior Softball
The Marion Popcorn Festival Senior Softball
Tournament has been set for Friay, Saturday, Sunday, September 5,6 & 7th, at Garfield and Kennedy Parks. Two
Divisions, 58+ and 64+ played at Sawyer Ludwig Park and the 59 and
Over will be played at Garfield Park.

Garden will have a new home in Busby Park
on the corner of West
Center and South Prospect
Streets next to Park Place.
Several years ago, the Marion Popcorn Festival introduced a
Garden to the Festival’s
palate of offerings. There is entertainment daily. The
Wine Garden offers a more relaxing, upscale
atmosphere complete with linen tablecloths, cabaret tables and light music.
The wine garden is open Thursday, September 4, from 5 – 9 p.m., and
Friday and Saturday, September 5 & 6, from 2 – 9 Complete
